TIPS & TRICKS

WEDDING DAY CHECKLIST:

10 ESSENTIAL THINGS

Murphy’s law is an adage or epigram that is typically stated as: “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong”. No matter how much you plan and how detailed your itinerary gets, anything can happen on your wedding day, and that includes mini disasters or emergencies.

This is why it's SO important for you (or your bridesmaids) to bring along a little kit of items. From eye drops to breath mints, we came up with a list of bridal must-haves.

Deodorant

Breath mints

oil absorbing sheets

Eyes drops or extra pair of contacts

With all the stress, running around, and nerves, rub one of these sheets over your skin if you ever feel like your face is like an oil slick. They won’t remove your makeup but they’ll take away the shiny skin.

We sweat more when we’re nervous and the fact that you’re wearing a heavy dress and makeup all day, you should keep this on hand for a refresh.

Keep your breath fresh since you’re going to be hugging and talking to a whole lot of people.

Eyes drops are important to have, especially if you think you’re going to cry – tears of joy can dry out your eyes. If you wear contacts, these are even more important. In fact, bring along an extra pair just in case.

White chalk

portable steamer

Flip flop or flats

You’re wearing a white wedding dress. Accidents happen. If something gets on the wedding dress and it just won’t come out, you can usually mask the stain with chalk.

If your wedding dress gets wrinkled on the big day, don't worry! You can fix those wrinkles with a handheld steamer.

Bring a pair of flats or slippers for the times in between your photoshoots and the lunch/dinner party – your feet will be grateful for the break from those sky-high heels!

Appropriate bridal undergarments

Small snack

Phone Charger

There can be long periods of time between meals during your wedding day. All of the sudden, things get busy, and out of nowhere you realize that you’re starving. Bring along a granola bar or something similar to fill you up.

You have a long day ahead of you and the last thing you want to deal with on your wedding day is a dead phone. Bring along a wall phone charger or even a portable one that can bring your phone back to life when you're on the go.

Brides with thin or clingy wedding dresses need to be especially aware of a showing panty line. You should try on your wedding dress with the intended panties to make sure that nothing is showing. Brides with full ball gown skirts do not have to worry about anything showing and should dress for comfort.

Hopefully, our wedding day checklist will serve as a helpful reminder for the new brides out there! Last-minute changes will happen so do not panic and go with the flow!
